Product Specialist Software

FOSS Customer & Sales Support needs a new skilled Software Product Specialist for the Software/Network Support Team in Höganäs, with industry knowledge within the grain/feed/dairy sector and with working knowledge of networking solutions for analytical instruments.

The job

You will be part of a cross functional team of specialists. You will collaborate closely with both Instrument Product Specialists, Service Engineers, and Chemometry Specialists.

Your specific role will be to represent our platform software’s, thus supporting our customers in terms of instrument usability, collect knowledge and input from the market and actively solve customer problems when it comes to user problems or calibration malfunctions, tender inputs, documentation updates, etc.

As FOSS acts on a global basis and network solutions for management and synchronization of instruments and analytical results becomes more and more relevant, you will also have the responsibility of supporting and ensuring usability of network solutions.

Your main tasks will be:
• Taking active ownership of existing software products within the FOSS platform software’s.
• Participation in software development projects, providing the customer perspective. This includes active involvement in product launch teams, field trial activities and implementation of user trainings.
• Second line support contact for all usability related problems related to the software, managing requests from our online HelpDesk system.
• Managing user documentation and manuals to best available quality.
• Support our sales organization with product knowledge, input to tenders and planning
• Provide product trainings.
Your daily work base will be in Höganäs, with an expected number of approximately 80 travel days per year, whereof the major part to our head office in Hillerød.

Qualifications

We expect you to have:
• Strong customer understanding and drive for improvements and creative solutions to problems.
• Documented experience from analytical instrumentation and software products within the grain, feed or food sectors.
• Relevant education, B.Sc. or similar within Food Science, Chemistry or Electronics.
• The ability to learn quickly and understand complex systems. The role is demanding and will require you to effectively support many different solutions being able to overview measurement chains as well as user situations.
• A flare for ensuring that all user documentation meets the highest expectations.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of networking solutions for instrumentation is an advantage.
