As a Business Analyst for IT Infrastructure: Compute, Store & Cloud you will work closely in a small team with our Infrastructure Providers, our Business to elicit demands and our IT Security Director.

You will own the solution portfolio for Compute, Store & Cloud, develop it according to global demands and manage the Total Cost of Ownership of it.

Your responsibility will be to analyze and resolve the Business’ problems with the help of technology, drive and escalate important support requests and help executing the company’s Digital Strategy. The Business Analyst will bridge the Business’ demands with technology and steer the development to ensure architectural adherence, delivery of value and drive digitalization of business processes. Contribute as a project team member and also act as project lead or steer projects with external project managers - Work in a team of three to cover all areas of IT Infrastructure - 3 to 5 days of travelling per month on average.

Key Responsibilities and deliverables:
Define, own and develop our portfolio for Compute (Servers on-site or hosted in a virtual private Cloud or in a public Cloud), Data Storage and Cloud Solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

Own the interfaces towards and amongst Cloud services

Compare operation models and pricing and make according suggestions

Cooperate with our Security Director to ensure necessary security layers are applied

Follow-up on support to ensure service delivery from our vendors according to defined SLAs

Ensure that standard Compute & Store needs can be ordered via our Service Catalog with according approval workflows in place

Define and implement Monitoring needs with the support of our Infrastructure vendor

Consult our Business about Compute, Store and Cloud solutions

Follow the portfolio of the major Cloud players on the market

Follow up on support KPIs and support our vendors in understanding our requirements

Participate in high-priority incident troubleshooting calls, also outside regular office hours if required and contribute to resolutions

Actively drive, develop, optimize our Infrastructure portfolio and work with according Change Requests towards our vendors

Own the budget for Compute, Store & Cloud and control supplier invoices accordingly, including approved Change Requests

Your qualifications: 

  • Strong technical background regarding Server, Storage and Cloud Technologies (Windows, Linux, Azure, AWS), Remote Management, Backup/Restore concepts etc.
  • Knowledge about Cloud offerings from Microsoft and Amazon, how to request, deploy and administer servers in the Cloud and pros and cons of the different vendors
  • Experienced in Vendor Management and how to drive and control vendors with SLAs and a right set of KPIs
  • Optional: Technical background for other Infrastructure areas like Network and Client Management
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with diverse people across different functions/cultures
  • Strategic & logical thinking with great analytical skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Integrates and works well in a global team and multicultural environment
