Job description
Epiroc will further increase the focus on improving the IS/IT area (applications, infrastructure etc.) We are therefore looking for a Global Category Manager IT with the mission and ambition to develop/build-up a global key supplier base with the aim to improve applications availability, risk mitigation and optimize costs.
This position is located in Örebro and reports to the Indirect Sourcing Manager. However, the daily work will also be carried out in close cooperation with Epiroc IT organization and VP IS/IT.
The main mission will be to:
- Support the overall Epiroc sourcing strategy and the Epiroc IT strategy in the growth ambition and to achieve a higher efficiency level
- Maintain an effective working relationship with Global IT and regional/local companies to ensure the successful implementation of the sourcing strategy and optimized TCO
- Focus on critical IS/IT applications and manage and review current IS/IT agreements
- Review/Renegotiate existing AC-group contracts due to the split
- Risk mitigation
- Supplier management
- Create a standard way of managing IS/IT agreements
- Support application owners and application managers (AMB and AMIT)
Educational and experience requirements
University degree with a few years of experience from strategic sourcing, IS/IT applications management and project management.
The ideal candidate should also have a strong customer focus and a solid supply chain understanding.
As the position is global, a good command of English (verbal and written) is a must. You must also be willing to travel internationally.
Personality requirements
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented person with an openness to changes and a proactive approach. In order to be successful, you have a strong personal drive and extensive analytical skills. In addition, you are a cooperative team member but also have good leadership skills.
This position requires very strong communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, work effectively via teleconferences with global team members, work closely with local colleagues and to present performance results to upper management.
