Global Indirect sourcing program has a vision to optimize savings and to be the sourcing center of excellence within Epiroc.
Epiroc will further increase the focus on improving the IS/IT area (applications, infrastructure etc.) We are therefore looking for an experienced Global Category Manager IT with the mission and ambition to develop/build-up and maintain a global key supplier base with the aim to improve applications availability, risk mitigation and optimize costs.
This position is preferably located in Örebro. Though it is possible to work from Sickla, Stockholm up to three days/week and two days/week in Örebro. You will report to the Global Indirect Sourcing Manager. However, the daily work will also be carried out in close cooperation with Epiroc IT organization and VP IS/IT.
The main mission will be:
- Support the overall Epiroc sourcing strategy and the Epiroc IT strategy in the growth ambition and to achieve a higher efficiency level
- Maintain an effective working relationship with Global IT and regional/local companies to ensure the successful implementation of the sourcing strategy and optimized TCO
- Focus on critical IS/IT applications and manage and review current IS/IT agreements
- Review/Renegotiate existing group contracts due to the company split
- Risk mitigation
- Supplier management
- Support application owners and application managers (AMB and AMIT)
- Global sourcing process development
Educational and experience requirements
University degree with a minimum 3 years of experience from strategic sourcing and experience of project management. The ideal candidate should also have a strong customer focus, IT sourcing experience and a supply chain understanding. As the position is global, fluent in English (verbal and written) is a must. You must also be willing to travel internationally a few times a year.
We are looking for a dynamic and highly result-oriented person with an openness to changes and a proactive approach. In order to be successful, you have a strong personal drive and extensive analytical skills. In addition, you are a cooperative team member but also have good leadership skills.
This position requires very strong communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, work effectively via teleconferences with global team members, work closely with local colleagues and to present performance results to upper management.
