IT plays a key role in our goal to enable fossil free living within one generation – from helping customers improve their energy efficiency to programming drones to carry out turbine inspections. By applying for the IT Young Talent Programme 2020 you can become 1 of 15 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 15 positions in the programme is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. 

Within Vattenfall IT department Client & Services – IT Service Management we work in a multifaceted environment where customer focus and service orientation is part of our DNA and you will play a central role in bringing or service portfolio to a new level.

Your responsibilities as IT Service Manager
As a IT Service Manager you will form the bridge between the end-users and our IT operations department. You will help to digitalize our business units and translate user needs into fitting IT solutions.

Key responsibilities:
•   You will investigate and test new technology trends
•   You will be part of the journey from IT Demand towards the full implementation of a new IT service offering
•   You will analyze and drive the continuous service improvements to increase the end-user satisfaction.
•   You will represent IT towards the end-users and act as an ambassador for the offered IT Service Portfolio
•   You join strategic initiatives to further improve the IT Service Management roles & processes

About you
As a person you are a brilliant networker who know how to involve and align with people around you in order to progress. You are a critical thinker who believe insightful analytics is the best foundation for any complex task. You are a resourceful innovator, strategic thinker and a keen learner who always keeps an ear to the ground to catch up on IT developments, adapting to the latest trends and technology. You are an initiator who relies on planning, organization and decision making to achieve excellence in execution.
We are looking for recent graduates holding an academic degree as well as young talents with no more than three years of working experience. You are fluent in English. Skills in other languages can be a merit. Furthermore, you are willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the organization.

As an IT Service Manager you recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
• (Master) University degree in computer science, engineering, economics or similar educations with IT focus.
• Digital native and knowledgeable in variety of IT solutions.
• Ambitious, self-driven and performance oriented.
• Collaborative with strong communication and social skills.
• Analytical while enjoying problem solving.
• Strategic mind, who always understand the big picture.
• A natural leader who seeks to develop their potential.
• Project management experience in various forms is a merit.

Location: You will be working in the department Client & Services and the position is located in Stockholm in Sweden.
Our offer
The IT Young Talent Programme is a kickstart to your IT career within Vattenfall. It will give you the opportunity to visit different parts of our IT organization, e.g. in Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland. There are planned weeks including personal development and internal leadership development from our Vattenfall Management Institute. Furthermore, a hackathon, huddles and longer assignments will also be part of the programme. And of course, each position comes with a competitive salary and an excellent remuneration package.
