Optimize RFID antenna design for communication over close range in a mechanical interface. Create a design tool for designers at Atlas Copco to use for adaptation of new antenna for future changes of interface.
To be able to compete in the future market for industrial tools and assembly systems we need tools that are connected, smart and adaptive to various customer application.
Today we have a functioning prototype working in close range in a mechanically constrained space. The prototype is rough and not yet optimized for its purpose. You will play an important part in making this technology possible to use in a variety of tools and accessories.
Your mission will be to create an optimization model/tool for future antenna design, build prototypes and find the optimal robust design for various tools. Variables to optimize include, number of coils, wire thickness, size, layers, read range, energy consumption, etc.
You are interested in wireless communication, physics and software development.
