This project is intended to investigate how Artificial Intelligence combined with automation could help us utilize data to drive sales


A global leader like Atlas Copco sits on enormous amounts of data – from production, installed machines, sales meetings, customer interactions, web and email behavior, logistics, service and much more. This is a potential gold mine, if you know what to do with it. Per definition, data is just raw material. What brings value is the ability to analyze it. If traditional B2B companies don’t step up they will soon be overrun by analytics giants like Google and Amazon, who are eager to move into new segments. Data is surely the new currency – and if you own the data, you own the market. And the most precious data of all is customer preferences and behavior. At Atlas Copco Industrial Technique we are taking the next steps of our digital transformation journey and would like to investigate further how to make our data make an impact for our business by delivering the best digital customer experience to our customers.


Your mission in this project will be to identify potential use cases that matter to our business, deliver the project plan, including IT needs, data points, KPI and activation strategy. Prioritize the use cases and present your recommendation to our business teams so we can select a pilot. This project will be considered a success when a pilot case will be selected by our business units and sponsored for implementation

So what is a suitable pilot case? It should be big enough to have sales impact, and small enough to allow failure. It must be possible to scale into our normal operations after completion. Ideally it involves people that normally don’t work together, like IT, sales and marketing. It should generate learnings and stories we can use moving forward. And most importantly, it should creative genuine value for your customers.

Our office is located in Sickla, Stockholm. Selection will be ongoing so if you are interested in the position, don't hesitate to apply!

As this is a project position for studies and not an employment, it does not qualify for seeking a work permit. We can therefore only accept applications from students who are either attending Swedish universities (i.e. already have a student visa) or, if they are attending universities abroad, are EU-citizens.
