ABOUT THE ROLE
Academic Work is on behalf of SenseGraphics looking for two junior C++ software developers. One with an interest in computer graphics and haptics, and one with an interest in physical engineering. SenseGraphics is an international company where you will be interacting directly with people from different places around the world. The company has a flat organization and you are expected to take personal responsibility for your own work. You need to be passionate about computer graphics and all that comes to it, but your strength should be within C++. SenseGraphics is a world- leading supplier of medical simulations. They are at the very cutting edge of technology when it comes to graphics and haptics, where the main focus is medical surgery and medical simulation.
This recruitment process is conducted by Academic Work and the request from SenseGraphics is that all questions regarding the position is handled by us. Academic Work is responsible for the recruitment process but the candidate that proceed will be employed directly by SenseGraphics.
As a Junior C++ software developer, you will work with the development of cutting-edge medical simulators. Your tasks will be varied, as you will not be tied to a single simulator project, instead you will switch between different projects along the way. The main focus will be robotic surgery and eye surgery simulation and you will be working both independently and in a small team.
For example, you will:
Taking part in creating and developing simulation with advanced graphics/physics
Do regression testing for current simulations to make sure they are working correctly
Make sure that the projects within robot- and eye surgery are moving forward together with your colleagues
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for you who has a degree in Computer Science or physics engines and a passion for computer graphics, where your skills might come from work or vested interest. As a person you have an analytical mindset and wants to work with a “trial and error” approach. You have to be able to work independently and therefore can/will develop quickly in your role, but also getting more responsibility in the projects you are involved in. You are a self- motivated, responsible person who enjoys working on challenging problems with a lot of responsibility of your own work.
We are looking for you who has good knowledge in:
- Computer Graphics such as Open GL, Shader GLSL or DirectX and/or Real time physics, preferably the mathematical fundamentals of physical engineering and/or soft tissues
- English, both in speech and written
- Have the possibility to work and live in Stockholm
It will be considered as additional qualifications if you have:
- Knowledge in Python
- Practical experience of game development or game engine
- Experience in physical engineering (such as PhysX or Bullet)
As a person, you are a self-motivated, responsible person who enjoys working on challenging problems. You have a drive to learn new things and like to work on finding new solutions at the current edge of technology. You are good at communicating with others and enjoy working both in teams and independently. You like the environment of a smaller and responsive company where you get more freedom in what you do but also have to take more responsibility for your own work.
