As a C++ software developer you will take part in our embedded development of control systems and autonomous solutions for our drill rigs, loaders and trucks.
You will be part of a high performing agile team that will have and gather a high common competence to be able to solve various problems.
You will be working in many areas in the Epiroc organization, including Rig Control System development, Innovation and optimization projects, implementing new components, modules and troubleshooting tools for the machine control system. The team’s main task is to assist other teams with Interoperability expertise and to act as a task force team helping application and platform teams with specific tasks and work packages.
As member of a task force team you will have close cooperation with our colleagues within the organization in Örebro, as well as the regional application centers in Australia, Canada, Chile, South Africa and USA. To understand customer needs and get requirements from the people working close to the customers.
As a bonus to work with dedicated team members in your daily work, you will also have the opportunity to sometimes travel to meet customers using our machines in mining and construction or maybe apply for positions abroad with limited or unlimited assignments.
You hold a Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer science, Software Engineering or similar. To thrive in this position you have preferably 3-5 years of experience in C++ and are curious of software development for machine control.
We are also looking for C# competence, with knowledge in .NET, and/or React JS, Azure, PowerBI.
- You will probably need to be at least a little bit interested in machines J
- Hopefully you are curious, part of the job is being an expert investigator when there are problems at a customer site
- Fluent English is a must, since we speak almost daily with colleagues all over the world.
- Since we are Interoperability experts and a focused task force team, we also have to cooperate with other teams which requires some social skills.
