As a Sourcing Manager you will be part of the Power Management team, which has the responsibility to source the electricity that will be sold to our customers. It is a tight and high performing team of five colleagues that report to the Head of Power Management.
In the role as Sourcing Manager you will continuously work with reviewing and develop Vattenfall´s strategies, our products and services, processes, models and tools used in order to optimize the electricity consumption forecasts. You will work close to the B2B sales force and assist in customer sales processes and help find new advanced sourcing solutions. The customer is always in focus and we strive to offer the best electricity trading solutions in the Nordics. Hence, an understanding for our customers and knowledge about their way of using and purchasing electricity is a great asset to the position.
Typical tasks for the position
• You will be a part of the forecast analyst team in the dispatch center to do the daily load forecasting.
• Develop and improve tools and models to optimize the electricity purchase.
• Continuously increase and improve automatization and digitalization in our processes to improve data quality and work efficiency.
• Develop our electricity trading portfolio and concepts to be best in class, together with profitable off-set of consumption flexibility.
• Support Vattenfall Sales with customer cases.
In order to succeed as Sourcing Manager you need a good understanding and experience of managing large amount of data, probably you have a background within IT or similar. You analytical and creative in your way of thinking and can see opportunities where others might see problems, eager to develop our business and have the ability to balance the value both for the customers and Vattenfall. You are service minded and enjoy cooperation and developing our interfaces.
Skills and qualifications as Sourcing manager
• Relevant university degree or equivalent.
• Experience of programming, modelling and data management. (E.g. Python, SQL, Visual Basics)
• Ability to quickly assess and understand relations between involved systems and tools.
• Experience of implementing new IT systems.
• Meritorious to have knowledge of the electricity market.
• A team player that is trustworthy and can take responsibility to manage assigned tasks.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
The location of this position is Vattenfall Head Office in Solna.
