Westermo is currently recruiting a Technical Support Engineer, to join our team in Västerås, where you will have the opportunity to work with advanced data communication and network technology. 

As Technical Support Engineer your main task will be to provide 2nd line product- and application support to customers and colleagues around the world.  Together with three other colleagues you will provide support primarily for routers and switches, but also extenders, converters and modems among other products. You will be working with several data communication technologies, such as Ethernet, xDSL, Serial, Cellular and WLAN.  In our facilities you will also have the possibility to set up network configurations in order to replicate and troubleshoot applications to support our customers in the best possible way.

The role may also include occasional visits to customers internationally, to support with technical requirements. As you will be fronting our customers it is important that you work to achieve customer satisfaction and good customer relationships.

You will contribute to implementing improvements internally and work towards goals and key targets.

As a person you are service oriented and have professional communication skills as you will interact with a wide range of customers and colleagues. You like troubleshooting and are structured and organized with the ability to drive your own progress. The ability to cooperate both internally and externally is a key to the position. You will be an important contributor to the support team and will get the opportunity to develop yourself in a positive and creative environment.

Personal experience

             - Education in data Communication/ Networks, or adequate work experience
             - Very good knowledge of Swedish and English both in speaking and in writing
             - Merit for applicants are Cisco certifications CCNA/CCNP or similar.
