UX Design Lead - Manage the design deliveries of your team and support our digital UX strategy
Join the world’s oldest start-up and turn up the volume on your career
Our Digital User Experience group is responsible for seamlessly bridging the gap between the physical products and the digital solutions in cooperation with colleagues with various professional backgrounds.
Working with the mobile applications for our headsets, speakerphones, and video devices, you will join 4 colleagues who are excited to make our digital service grow from being simple requirements to becoming enhancements of the user experience.
As our next UX Design lead within mobile apps, you get plenty of room to form your role and impact our digital agenda. At the same time, you get the exciting mix of contributing with your own UI designs and coordinating and reviewing the work of your UX colleagues.
What your colleagues say about working at Jabra:
”You get the feeling of working in a start-up, but at the same time, you enjoy being backed up by a well-founded enterprise.” – Houston, UX Design Lead, Desktop Apps.
”We are good at the little things, because we know they count – we meet each other with smiles and nods and check up on each other if something seems off.” – Ditte, Senior UX Designer, Mobile Apps.
What will you be doing?
You will spend half of your time planning and scoping tasks for your team, and the other half working operationally with UX and UI yourself. As we continue to strengthen our internal UX and UI resources, you might be working more strategically – depending on your own interests and ambitions of course.
Apart from your own team, you will work closely with our different product owners, project managers, software developers, testers, architects, and our scrum master.
Your main tasks will be to:
- Coordinate UX and UI projects, ensure alignment, constructive feedback loops and maintain and update our processes for our way of working
- Define user flows and wireframes as well as design components by translating design requirements and user insights into concrete UI
- Review the work of your team to ensure that it lives up to the agreed standards
- Co-design with your team and align with your key stakeholders
- Drive the continuous development of design systems aligned for all UI across different platforms
Sound good so far? Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:
Curiosity! And a wish to listen, challenge and transform with us
You cannot help wondering why people do things the way they do, and you are excited to work on how to create good UX solutions within the given timeframe.
The organized and communicative attitude that makes for a good design lead
But not necessarily the experience. As long as you can keep the overview over our many projects and know how to collaborate with colleagues with various professional backgrounds, this could very well be your first job as a UX design lead.
Experience working with digital products
This could be from a consultancy, a start-up, or a big organization. The important thing is that you can see yourself thriving in a big set-up like ours.
A firm grasp on Figma and Jira
We also work in Jama and Miro and use SAFe as our framework – and we are happy to teach you all of it.
Fluent written and spoken English skills
As an international organization with colleagues in over 50 different countries, our official company language is English. It’s essential that you can communicate effortlessly with your colleagues, no matter where they are.
The Jabra culture
The Jabra culture is upbeat and positive. We greet every day with energy and enthusiasm, bringing our best selves and approaching problem-solving and challenges with a ‘glass half full’ attitude. We’re independent, but we also know when two heads are better than one. Our leaders are supportive, our teams are tight-knit, and we believe in the power of collaboration across every level of our organization.
