UX Researcher and Designer at Axiell
Want to join a team of driven and innovative people who are passionate about technology and the culture sector? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a culture-obsessed data nerd, like ourselves, to help us empower cultural institutions to build communities and share heritage with the world. We strongly believe that the work of our customers is critical to the development of a democratic society.
If the idea of working with culture giants like the Library of Congress and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam appeals to you, then we are a match made in heaven. We are a global company with offices nestled in cities large and small across the globe. We serve libraries, museums, archives, schools, publishers and retailers in 55 countries. Our innovative digital platform transforms the way these organisations work, helping them manage their collections, encourage reading, preserve cultural heritage, improve learning and increase engagement with the public.
The main focus for this role is UX research and usability testing. You will help the organization to understand the needs of the users and customers. This knowledge will be used when we develop new products and services.
In this role you will meet professional users (staff in libraries and museums) as well as private users (citizens who use the services libraries and museums offer). You will do user interviews, lead focus groups, run usability tests and do other research tasks.
The second focus for this role is to contribute to the UX design work. You will work with UX concepts, wireframes and UX prototypes.
You will work in a small team together with experienced UX designers. The UX team is a global resource in the organization, supporting several products with UX design. You will also work close together with product managers and developers.
• You have empathy and are interested in people – you want to understand their needs and behaviors.
• You can quickly understand new domains
• You can communicate and share the knowledge gained from the research, mainly in English.
• You have practiced a variety of UX research methods such as contextual interviews, usability testing (on site and remote), statistical analysis and focus groups.
• You are fluent in UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision or Adobe XD.
• You have studied interaction design, cognitive science or product design or you have experience from working with UX research.
We offer a dynamic fast-paced workplace where you develop both as a person and in your profession, and where you get the opportunity to be involved and contribute to Axiell's success.
